Buyoancy support of rotor axis for floating offshore wind turbine

In the Floating Axis Wind Turbine (FAWT) concept, a cylindrical float directly supports the vertical axis turbine and rotates with it. The simplicity and buoyancy support of the rotor enables us to develop a large floating wind turbine. Unlike the present mainstream concept of horizontal axis wind turbine, we can employ the continuous production method of composite blades for higher productivity.
